- Buy a protective for your iPod. For best protection, choose a rubber casing that fits snugly to your digital music device. This would not only prevent dirt from accumulating on your iPod, but would serve as a shock protector as well, in case you accidentally drop it.
- If you are not comfortable keeping your iPod inside your bag or pocket, buy an iPod case that has a clip on it, so you can simply attach it on your shirt or pants. Make sure, however, that you clip it onto yourself fittingly and securely to avoid any damage.
- To avoid scratches on the screen, make sure to cover it with a screen protector.
