Ok, so you bought your first Apple iMac computer from an Apple store already, what’s next?

To be able to make your iMac computer work at its best performance and condition, you have to set it up appropriately. Here is you step-by-step guide on how to set up your own Apple iMac computer:

1. Remove the iMac and all its components from the box. It should include the following:
- Keyboard
- Mouse
- Manual
- Mac OS X CDs
- Software license agreement
- Apple remote
- Cleaning cloth
- Other wires and cables

2. Before placing your iMac on your computer desk, make sure that it is clean and dust-free. Take the foam cover off the computer screen of your iMac and then carefully place in on top of your desk.

3. When positioned accordingly, your iMac computer can now be plugged into an electrical outlet. Make sure that one end of the power cord is plugged properly at the back of your iMac computer, while the other a power outlet.

4. Connect other peripherals such as the mouse and the keyboard on your iMac through the USB ports at the back of the computer.

5. You can now turn on your iMac computer.

6. For registration processing, follow the messages on the screen that will guide you throughout the whole process.

7. Select the language you want to use, your country, keyboard layout, and others. Choose your internet server, as well.

8. Enter personal information including your name, address, phone number, and email address.

9. When setting up your user account, fill out again necessary information such as name, short name, password, and eve password hint. Be aware that your picture will be taken to be used as your account icon.

10. Finally, insert the Mac OS X disc into the DVD drive of your iMac computer so you can start installing the software. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen and in about 2 hours, the installation will be complete,
